Young Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) matches talented graduates with progressive Cornish companies to fuel innovation, growth, creativity, competitiveness and economic prosperity in Cornwall. Graduates gain invaluable experience, new professional skills and a competitive salary. Young Enterprise South West (YESW) has been delivering enterprise education for over 45 years.  Through their range of tailor made programmes reaching young people from 4 to 25 years, YESW has been responsible for unlocking the entrepreneurial potential of an entire generation.

Through taking part in the YESW Cornwall Company programme, students set up and run a company over an academic year. They elect a board of directors, raise share capital and market and finance a product/service of their own choice. Finally, they liquidate the company and present a report and accounts. During the year they have opportunities to take part in Trade Fairs and the year culminates with the opportunity to enter the YESW Cornish Innovation Awards.

The YESW Cornish Innovation Awards recognises and celebrates the success of all the students and provides a focus that enhances and re-enforces the learning process. The YESW Cornish Innovation Awards will be presented to the winners at the Cornwall Business Awards presentation evening.
